The most powerful E-Class Estate of all – the E 63 AMG – comes courtesy of the motorsport experts at Mercedes-AMG. With an output of 378 kW (514 hp), the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. Because an E 63 AMG is rarely at a standstill, however, a peak torque of 630 Nm is available on tap to ensure breathtaking acceleration at any speed.
(E 63 AMG: fuel consumption combined: 14.5 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 345 g/km)[1]
Unbeatable driving pleasure is also assured by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC transmission. Three shift programmes are available: "C" for comfort-oriented automatic mode, "S" for sporty automatic mode and "M" for manual mode. In the case of the latter, the driver can use the AMG shift paddles on the AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel. This set-up closely resembles the one employed in motor racing, for example, as does the AMG high-performance braking system with composite front brake discs and the AMG sports suspension based on AIRMATIC DC.
Experience even more agility in the AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO, developed exclusively for the E 63 AMG optional extras, including the rear axle differential lock, the AMG PERFORMANCE suspension, the multipiece 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels or the AMG Performance Package.
